this works for anyone asking, ive tryed it. all you is put the shim(use a old set of standard size bars and cut a piece 1/2 the size of the clamp) on like a hic system and then put the clamp on and put the bars in the clamp and done.

yes so it should work, a scs compression for about $30, And you have a lot more selection of what quad clamp you would like to use. you could get a mutts quad clamp from muttsscootershack uk for 50 shipped international. thats still better than scs price

bump, and this is just using hic with a qaud clamp and bars with no slit. pretty sweet

how is this easier to make. scs is a lot easier to install. this would cost like 40 dollars. shell out 20 more and u got a scs that doesnt have problems. and scs looks alot better than any other quad clamp on the market.
good idea though.

i agree with jv, i think it is alot cheaper, works fine, and you have a huge sleection of what scs you want, not just the one type of scs everyone has

bars are bigger then the forks so it wouldnt work

it depends on how tall the fork tube is^ and ya i personally dont like how proto scs looks with his ncs idea you have a wider selection of looks and it should work fine and is cheaper you could probably use 2 welded together pro model clamps if your low on cash

yeah it might work welding 2 doubles together, but its still way cheaper just to buy a quad clamp, shim, starnut, and topcap.

there is a 1-1/4 OD shim over the fork, same OD as the bars.
