Carbon fibre is actually short for "Carbon-fibre reinforced plastic" if you really want to debate it. It is not a metal. It has plastic in the name.
And who says it can be shot at and remain up? It's not bulletproof, its just really strong plastic. Just because it's used in the army doesn't mean it's indestructible.

Hey -------- I don't know if you were aware that the Canadian spelling of fiber is FIBRE. And btw that is what my computer autocorrects that word to anyways.
And this getting a bit out of hand here.
To sum things up, it would make a really bad deck. And unless you have 3 piece bars, it would make horrible bars, too.

carbon fiber shatters. I have a lot more knowledge about the subject than a kid who can't even spell plane right. It would be an awful material to make a clamp out of due to the fact that it bends. It's made to bend. The only reason carbon fibre is used in race bikes is because it's light. Race bikes don't take abuse like scooter decks. not to mention the bottom of the deck would be insanely fucked up.

Do some google searching on the properties of carbon fiber. Straight carbon fiber would be a absolutely horrible deck material for a few reasons, even if expense is no concern to you.
Carbon Fiber is incredibly strong and quite flexible, this is true. But many of the products you see for sale with Carbon (such as MX helmets) show "Carbon Fiber Blend" or "Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer" etc. It's not just straight carbon, it's a very well thought out blend, layering or combining of a variety of materials to achieve a final product that will be work for it's intended use.
Creating something functional, such as a complete scooter, may seem simple due to it's rudimentary design (no offense Razor lol), but it takes a lot of research and knowledge to pull off something that just simply..........works.

thanks i will do that and i was looking up carbon and sorry i cant spell well i have dyslexia my plan was to make most of the deck carbon and the bottem high grade chrromoly or aluminum

This doesn't have an ounce of credibility when you want to build a scooter....
It's not something you buy...it's something you create in a controlled environment/lab by professionals.
Feel free to create whatever you feel like. But you put this public asking for advice, and my advice is for your own safety and sanity, as well as your grandpa's, stop where you are and don't even attempt this. Try to ride a homemade scooter, designed by a kid, out of a compound that is extremely ill suited for a scooter deck, could very possibly land you in the hospital.

i did reserch on carbon fiber and the strongest kinda tube i could buy only withstands 80 pounds im not gonna do this iam just gonna buy a reventon and when i need the deck wider ill just add a lil carbon fiber to the ends
