these sizes are good for steel, too thin for cromo.

steerer tube:
wall thickness = thin gauge/light gauge/1.6mm thick
OD = 31.8mm or 1 1/4"
ID = 28.6mm or 1 1/8"

Crossbar:
wall thickness = thin gauge/light gauge/1.6mm
OD = 22.2mm or 7/8"
ID = 19mm or 3/4"

these are the sizes i used to make my one piece bars and they turned out pretty good.

ok, lets get one thing straight. cromolly and steel are 2 different metals. cromolly is lighter than steel but not as strong. cromolly is only a tiny bit weaker than steel. i said that the cromolly would be too thin for the sizes i used because my friend had some homemade one pieces that were made of cromolly that were the same size as mine and his bent.
