Any secrets for banging out a headset cup?

I have an fsa dh pro bottom cup in right now, but I just got a new headset and need to change it. My top cup popped out like normal, but the bottom cup wont!
Ive done everything, I sprayed lubricant down in the headtube, Ive hit a flat head against it with a normal hammer, a rubber mallet, and a huge metal mallet. All that accomplished was breaking my screwdriver.
Im not kidding when i say this cup hasnt moved one single bit...

Does anyone have any other ideas?

find a big ass punch and use that instead of a flat head. me and my friend actually just took out my dh pro bottom cup today and it came out in like 5 hits with the punch, but before that i couldn't even get it to budge with a flathead

flat head and a rubber mallet,if its really stuck use a regular hammer.Park Tools also makes a headset remover I believe is around $50-$70

you mean like a punch thats about the same size as the inside diameter of the headtube?
no this was just a normal punch but it worked realllly well for some reason. but yea i never thought about a punch as big as the ID of the headtube, if you could find one like that it'd probably go out in like 1 hit haha

Thats exactly what I was thinking noah haha.

The old bars worked great. Since the bars are old and already bent, I wasnt afriad to just slam the hell out of them with the huge rubber mallet. Thanks guys.

I just use stock razor bars, take one of the sides out, take the grip off. Perfect tool, then just hit it with a hammer and work your way around so it comes out easy, like taking bearings out. Since it's such soft aluminum, it takes all the beating and won't damage the cups at all.

My decks just a pain in the ass to get headsets in and out of. Not so much the top cup, but ALWAYS the bottom cup. Idk why, my friend who had a phoenix banged his headsets in and out without a problem.
Its not me, I know how to take out a headset haha. My friend even tried changing my bottom cup before and it wouldnt budge.

I know your pain dude, for some reason I had a hell of a time getting my headset out of my Nitro. The stock cups fit in there sooooo tight. But using stock bars is still a great idea, any type of job that involves a hammer, it saves whatever you're hammering on because it's so soft. lol

Getting my new headset in was harder than getting it out... the bottom cup was the problem again
I kept getting nervous slamming on it so hard and putting that much stress on the headtube.

To put my headset cups in, i just put my cup on a cinder block, put my scooter onto of the cup and just hammer the top of the headtube until it goes in :D
