Blunt IHC Forks Installation Video

We have posted a Blunt IHC Forks installation video on our home page at www.smokinscooters.com. If you haven't seen the new Blunt integrated headset compression forks, you've got to check them out.

We tested them on a TSI Flight 19 deck and they work great! The headset does not come loose, even after a decent amount of abuse! The installation is simple and takes less than 5 minutes.

The forks work with any threadless headset, standard or integrated. The IHC system replaces the existing upper crown on your headset and locks the headset in place with the integrated crown.

Check them out, you won't be disappointed. The fit and finish on these forks is excellent.

So they're still using it incorrectly.

How so? I thought this is a new Compression system "IHC" not HIC

??

If you already run SCS* and want to use this fork then you can use your existing SCS Clamp, without the Top cap that usually works with the SCS, since this fork has it's own type of compression

He's saying that there is no point in putting on an scs because there is already a compression system on. You can still use the SCS with it, but I don't see why you would want an uneccessary brick on your bars that weighs like a pound or two when you would be fine with a tiny ass clamp.

Agree- not the best demo for the Fork

I wish he would spend a little more time/effort on the production quality of the Video- my Iphone can shoot better than that

Hey guys. Obviously you don't need to run 2 compression systems. If you're using the IHC forks, you only need to use a standard clamp with them. However, if you are currently using SCS with whatever forks you have now, the point I was trying to make in the video was that you can still use your SCS by removing the top cap and starnut, essentially turning the SCS into a standard clamp.

As far as the shim goes, the plastic ones were all breaking so Blunt replaced them with a metal shim. I haven't heard that those are breaking. We received the 1st sets of IHC forks that came to the US with plastic shims. Since the video was made, we replaced all of the plastic shims with metal ones.

Let me know if you guys have any other questions.

The metal shim is in three pieces. It broke clean where the integrated bearing race is. So now he has a shim over the shim just so it will work.
