cutting bars

i want to cut my bars on my scooter but if i cut it the slit thats supposed to let the bars get clamped gets cut off. so i was wondering if i had to have to slits at the bottom of my bars

If you are running SCS no you don't need a slit, If you're running threaded, ICS, or HIC you need one
