so yeah ive had my one pieces for a while now and i think they are to tall for me. so i wanna cut em down like an inch or so.

so to do this can i just cut it to the heigth that i want and just make new slits?

and if i can do that how wide should the slits be?

and also, is there any other info i would need to know before doing this cause i dont wanna go and fuck up me bars

pipe cutters dude, only way to do it. as for the slits, hmmm, I'd say measure it out and draw out the slits exactly on the bars and use a dremel/jigsaw to make them. I don't know what THE best way is to do that, so you'd be better off asking someone like andrew, etc. that makes bars.

well the first pait of one piece i made we just cut slits with an ngle grinder 10mm above were the fork pole went up to and they worked perfect make sure you drill a hole at the top of the slits or they will just keep cracking up

why use a pipe cutter, just use a hacksaw and CUT IN A STRAIGHT LINE. then your bars are fine. if its not perfectly fine then grind them of a bit. its not like they need to be acurate to 0.01 of a a degree.

Yea i cut mine down with a dremel, and it was a little uneven so i just made it perfectly flat with a grinder.

cut your bars to the right height. put you fork in the bars and see how far they go up and mark it on the bars. measure about 15 to 20mm above where the fork goes to. get a grinder cut straight up from the existing slits or from the side of your bars to the area you marked above where the fork pole goes then drill a hole in the top of the slit about 5 mm round and it should look like this.

hope this helps
