We aren't doing flip tricks, so it's all about comfort for scooters. if you like it, grats then ride with it. If you don't, then there's no harm done not riding with it.

It's not about the flipping part, it makes it so you can catch it.

So yes, concave does make a difference. Not a HUGE difference, but enough to where if you rode concave for a while, you would have a hard time catching whips on a flat deck.

I could have sworn it's used for flipping tricks...

It's really just preference on a scooter. It doesn't make you a better rider, or make anything easier.

Well, usually with skating you flip using the tip or tail which I think has little or no concave.

And you're right, it's kinda like how some people like back sweep and some people don't.

I think it helps with pretty much everything. Makes turndowns easier cause your feet suction to the deck a little more so they don't slip off as much. Basically all style tricks are a little easier.

Kinda hard to compare the two. If you're used to a phoenix then whips on ninjas will magnetize because of the mellower HTA, and If you're used to ninjas then whips will magnetize from concave.

Concave can't give you more grip, it doesn't add surface area. It really is just about your style. Some people love it, like Brandon. Some people hate it, like me.
