Hey guys i know im new here but ive been reading up on this forum for a while now. Anyways Ive always been shocked at the prices of parts for scooters... How expensive they are. Do you think i could atleast sell some parts if i made a company that made legit parts that werent as expensive as all the other sites. Keep in mind they wouldnt be As legit as the other sites but legit enough to ride them and not have them brake. Im thinking to start off with some bars and also sell grips because i work at a bike shop so i can get odi grips cheap and all other kinds. I was thinking i could also sell hardware at first. Then eventually move up to forks and get some deck savers. I have th eability to produce everything and was just wanting some input. Also im looking for some unique design ideas.

Its alot harder then you think.
You need insurance and everything.

tru, also maybe u should all consider none of the scooter companys out are making big money apart from like razor, micro madd gear i guess too

also really i dont think the prices of products is much at all, compare it to another sport industry, skate decks can be well over 300aud compared to a complete ultra pro for 200aud yet the skate deck can snap in days yet skaters dont bitch they get a new one, indeed ultra's can be fked in a day mine was in one afternoon of riding

i honestly dont think this sports products are too high in cost, also it really has only just started maybe in time the price will reduce due to competetion but i do doubt it, as most companys to date are selling for min profit just cause the fact we deal with a younger client base who doesnt have funds like skaters or bmx riders

i did that too a bit ago with fingerboards, made shitty decks and put td trucks and wheels on it and sold them for $15 and bought scooter stuff.

I just think bars are expensive... They are the same price or more then Bmx bars. Forks are a tiny bit less and wheels a little under also.

If you go price out the material you'll see there's less profit than you think to make a quality setup.

I'm going to price materials later today. I've got a few cool ideas in mind. To keep them affordable and keep my cost down. I think I'm going to only offer them in raw at first.
