Flex brake wont tighten?

I have a phoenix switchblade brake and whenever i try to tighten it, it wont tighten, it seems like its tightening but its not..

Try a new bolt and axle thingo and two hole's?

Yeah but i just realized that it has a tear in it..

that might be the problem, get an old bike innertube and cut it up and fold it over 2/3 time and then poke a hole for the bolt, and apply as normal.

But that my not be your problem. But worth a try

r u sure you are also holding the nut tight with a wrench? cuz if not the allen key alone is making the nut spin with the bolt.

Yeah, you need to hold the nut when tightening the allen slot or the whole bolt including the nut will just spin around, if thats not if, then you bolt or nut is stripped, i don't know how the Damper could affect this problem?

Thats not the problem, ive had the brake for around 4 months and it worked fine until now.
I think the threads may have stripped.
