Found an old camera

Its a Canon ZR60, with PS2 and DV ports, 30.5mm lens, Mini DV storage...Its like from '06, was like $600 or something. Anyway, found it in the back of a closet. Worth it to get a fisheye/step-up and fisheye for, or junk?

Also, recommendations for a good 30.5mm fisheye or good one with a step up ring?

No thanks Parrish, got a Lucky. I'll get and post up some standard footage from it when I get home and see how it looks.

ZRs aren't the best. You can get a solid Panny GS120 or even GS320 for the price of a fisheye and handle set up. Just save up and film long lens until you can afford a better camera.

Still, if I drop $40 on a fisheye and step ring, when the camera breaks, I'll just get a cheap-ish HD camera and put the fisheye on that. So what if I have to get a different step ring?

Do you understand anything about cameras? No good lens cost $40, and you can't just put any fisheye on any camera a get good footage. You are better off throwing this away until you can afford a setup worth filming with.

Excuse me for trying to get some footage on more than a shitty knockoff Vivitar Flip thing. I don't know the first thing, that's why I'm asking.

I mean, its just a one chip mini dv camera. The picture isnt going to be fantastic but will definitely be better than your vivitar flip thing. You could technically use it just to put something out every once in a while, you wont want to be filming anything serious with it.

Save up for a good fisheye/camera setup, and while you're saving, just use the ZR long lens to film little clip videos or something.
