Grinding.

Okay so, grinding in general. There is probably a thread for this, but I couldn't find it. But, I can't grind at all. Like, nothing. I always end up having the deck either slip off the side off the box or slip out in front of me on a rail/box. Anybody have any tips? What should I start out trying to do?

make sure you are leaning the right way for the particular grind

and don't use as much wax maybe at first

Thanks guys. Anything else, like what type of grinds should I start out with?

And Parrish, thats the thing, I want to expand the amount of stuff I can do because a lot of the spots around my house are ledges so whenever I go with friends I just sit around and do nothing.

if your grindind something like a box or curb make sure youre wheels is parallel witht he edge of the box, curb, etc. the way your wheel is pointing is the way youre going to grind

Man, seriously, just keep going at it. Feebles were the first trick I learned, I couldn't even 180 at the time...

For feebles keep your wheel pointed towards which ever way your grinding
for boardslides make sure you get on top of the rail

Learn feebles and smiths first and then you can pretty much go where ever you want from there.

For feebles, lean forward so that your weight isn't on the back, which would cause the deck to be pushed forward more, making you slip out. Also, make sure to steer forward when you do feebles.
For smiths, lean into the grind a bit so your back wheel rolls straighter, lock your fork into the side, and get the back wheel closer to the edge so it rolls more.

Make sure you're using some speed and dude, don't you have an older brother? Ask him!!
