How to measure bars with backsweep?

How are backsweeps measured? are the done straight from handle to handle, or do you take the curve into account when measuring? cheers...

Each side of the bar is just bent 5 degrees backwards from the steertube I think.

Get a 1 metre long piece of string and put it from both sides of the bars and then measure the string

Oh right, the width of the bars. I thought he was talking about measuring backsweep.

Just measure from end to end like non backsweep bars.

if your making back sweep bars and, for example, wanted 18 wide, i knwo that with conduit you have to take in account the bend takes some pipe length, so it woudl probably be just a tiny bit larger than the actual width since its only 5 degrees
