Hi I was just wondering what you all think is better in your opinion an integrated deck or a normal deck. And could you please explain to me what the real difference is?
Thanks :)

If a deck is integrated, then the headset cups are built into the head tube. You'd have to be out of your tits to think that non-integrated is better.

Yes, you buy an integrated headset. A guy at a bike shop told me integrated stuff is also much stronger, but I don't think a scooter would have a problem breaking headset cups.

lie i have broken several headset cups they just shatterin my decks overtime i dont know why tey just do it is relly annoying

Also, for integrated decks, they usually come with an integrated headset (Phoenix) or atleast an option for one (new District DK2)

Standard. Integrated hatubes can get fucked up and then you are out like $200. With standard you can just spend like $30 on a new headset.

I have NEVER seen a deck or bike frame with wrecked integrated cups.

You do bear a valid point though. I just don't know how likely it is that the average rider would kill them.

if you ride with your headset wobbly then it can ovalize

Not an expert, so Ima need someone who knows what they're talking about manufacturing-wise to get in here. But do you think a wobbly headset would damage the headset or the frame? :S Because I ride with a wobbly headset pretty often in my TSI, but I've never noticed any permanent wobble. Usually when I finally get off my ass and tighten it, it stays tight for some time.

Anyone have an ovalised headtube horror story? Because now I'm worried that I'm ovalising my headtube. :p
