Your footage could be more crisp, render in full .avi and compress using an external program like MPEG Streamclip. If you don't know how to do it, youtube it and lurk SP to find good settings for VXs.

Yeah some clips were SO DARK I was so mad when I saw them on my computer. Plus the scratch really is annoying. I figured out really good settings for different places now though, and how exactly do I make it better quality? Cause my software has
400 x 225 - YouTube wide
854 x 480 - YouTube HQ
768 x 567 - TV PAL
640 x 480 - TV NTSC (what I use)
1024 x 567 - TV WIDE
1280 x 720 - HD 720p
1920 x 1080 - HD 1080p
And the vx is obviously sd so hd is pointless.

there's a reason everybody uses sony vegas, ben. i tried all sorts of stuff before getting vegas for free, and it was definately worth it. just get vegas.

Quality was fine , it's just that scratch and some clips I didn't have the right settings.

Get an older version of Vegas, like 8 or 9. I use SV9, even though 11 is out now. They're more stable.
