making solid fender

sorry if this is already posted i searched and didnt see anything on how to make one.. i was wondering if there was a some what easy way to make my break solid like a fender with out welding it? could you guys help me out?

SR had a rear brake fender, what happened to it? bend a piece of metal over the wheel, but make sure it doesnt touch it. then just bolt it to your dropouts.

get an aluminum welder to weld it for you.

im getting a welder to make some bars me and a friend are doing but we dont have it yet i was just thinkin there might be a way to do it quick with out welding

Try drilling another hole through the sides of the brake above the deck, then putting a bolt through. Requires no modification to the deck.

or just hot glue the brake. it wont rattle any more, but if you like stomp on it the hot glue will get jacked up.

that sounds like a pretty good idea but i don't understand where exactly on the brake you should put the bolt so that it doesn't get in the way of the wheel.

dude take a bearing and shove it under your spring and it wont rattle and it will still work

Yeah i really kinda want a fender but i'd lose like all my tiretap stuff. I hate landing on the brake in fakie combos. But like a metal box thing and cut it to size.

Or maybe a door handle or something to bolt in front of the brake? Let me draw some diagrams...

EDIT:

So like, put a bolt through there to prevent it from being pushed down. I assume you have a pro brake, I don't think this method will work with a blade brake.

Ian: You could put a door handle or similar and bolt it about there, allowing the brake to still be used but your foot will hit the handle instead of the brake for fakies and such. Assuming your don't mind your scooter looking like a DIY project gone wrong.
