Ovalizing Forks

Ok ive been running my old RAD bars for about 5 months now and never had any problems with anything... Until I switched my fork around. Sence then, I have ovelized 2 forks. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Long thread fork? Cut another slit on the other side?

Yeah reinforce your fork, then they won't ovalize. You could try cutting another slit on the other side because that's what the new Rad bars have.

just reinforce your forks and it should stop and if you are super special and have money you can get the new bars!

or if you know a welder or you can weld yourself then get a starnut from a bike fork and weld it in there near the top (of a good fork of course) and that should keep it from ovalizing

it might solve it

I dont like them, money is an issue, Shipping is more then you would think to here and last time, Cory stopped shipping Internatinal, and I have no idea whats he is doing now

Smart ass.

By renforce do you guys mean stick an old snaped t-tube in it? I did that once and it was moving around, then I taped it a little and stuck it in there and it still made a "metal on metal" sound. Explain?

when i used to put them in my forks i couldnt even get them out they were in so tight. try using the new a forks. the ones that are thicker, that should solve it. if not bolt that thing it or use bubble gum.

just use any old hard fork, get an old t-bar and cut off the handles, now what i did was found some really thin aluminum and just rapped it around the bar as a shim and stuck it in the bars.
have the reinforcement going as close to the wheel as you want it. mines about an inch above then just tighten the clamp. alot. i havent had any problems yet

I put an old t-tube in the fork and I had to hammer it in so I had no problem making it stay there. It seems like if your fork is already ovalized that it'd be hard(er) to get the t-tube in there.

^thats what i have^
but if u cant get it welded thn take off one of you handles of your razor fork and put tape aroud it so it fits tight in the fork.

My reinforced fork: old t-bar's piece, ducktape over it for tightening, fits perfectly and has never slide down.
