well either way yo should be doing a few layers of clear coat. So it wouldn't matter.

You can get matte clear coat that dosn't look glossy.

And I would reccommend flat just cause I think flat looks better but who cares what I think, it's your scoot haha.

sand your deck alot before doing it, like more then normal, when i painted my deck the paint wouldnt stick, so at first, do really like coats.

If you want it to be chip proof then spray it all in one coat in thiiiiiiick globs, then it dries like rubber and it tears instead of chips. Dosn't look as good though.

i have a silver phoenix deck and i want glossy black so do i still need to sand it or should i just put layers of glossy black paint then clear coat

i painted a team edition red, i used killrust paint, it takes like 24 hours to properly dry but seriously dont do it 1 big coat, do 2-3, works better.
