Football taken with a 300mm f/2.8
Volleyball taken with a 70-200 f/2.8 IS with the stabilizer off. I'm getting a 1D as a second body mostly for football, because the timing of these shots really aren't cutting it...

Then, a portrait I shot for a family. They want a 20x30 print of it !dodge

The timing is off, and you need a new body because of it...?
Would you care to explain why?
I can get timing right for football on a point and shoot, why do you need a completely professional camera..?

Parker, a job is something you get paid to do, So being a yrbk photographer isn't one, if it was then I would be saying that yrbk photography was my job for the past 2 years that I've been a yearbook photog. And if your a photographers assistant isn't that like some type of internship?

I don't think this was a worth a thread.

I don't post my yearbook shots on the internet, I just wait to see the final product in the book.

Shelby, you can quit being jealous of having $8000 of lenses at my dispense.

And I get paid by football moms to make prints of their sons getting tackled. And I got paid about $100 + fees of the film, developing, etc... for the last picture.

So technically it is a job. And technically yearbook is a job. A volunteer job. If nobody was working on it (you work at a job), then the yearbook gets nowhere.

[/Shelby's jealousy]

Sequences, no shutter lag, faster AF, 45 AF points, huge buffer. And I have seen a 300mm literally rip off an XT's lens mount...

When you start getting lots of photo requests with a short deadline, you'll understand.

And my XT stayed on the same screen for a few minutes after I took the CF card and battery out. It wouldn't even turn off, and when I got it to finally turn on, it said my fully charged battery was dead, and there was no CF card, and my shutter was locked. I think it's time for an upgrade...
