i got my lucky SMX forks today, and im running a mgp nitro and baby scs, so i had to cut an inch off the forks!
I cut them and the fork is to thick and the starnut wont go in! I even tried using my freinds bearing press that has like 300 lbs of force and all it did was break the starnut, then i tried putting one in with a socket and a hammer, and i broke another one. So now im stuck with no starnuts, and my scooter fucked up :( Is there anything i can do?????

or if the wall thickness of the forks get thicker as you get closer to the bottom then instead of an 1 1/8 inch starnut try a 1 inch starnut, it might be hard to find but call around to bike shops and that will solve your problem

your screwed because smx's are made like that so the starnut doesnt go in too deep, i had the same problem cause i have baby scs but i decided not to cut it when i realized its thicker, a bike shop should be able to fix it but im not 100% sure

Get a large enough bolt that goes up and through the top of the fork into the SCS above the lip in the SCS, and get a washer that is the same size as the lip in the SCS and just use a nut to tighten it

kinda like ICS but not

this will deffinently be your solution right here..just find a 1 inch starnut. They might have to order it though because not many people have them.
