Dont worry about flips. There a great form to work up your confidence but there not as cool as other tricks.

well first off its totally, not toataly..but anyways

i dont see why anyone should have trouble with backflips at all off a box jump of reasonable size, just ride up to it with a little more speed tahn usual, and just as you ride up the ramp lean back and look back, look for the ramp again and as soon after you start flipping, tuck up. once you see the ground again its easy to figure out if your gunna make it or if youll need to untuck to spin slower or what. biggest thing is just to look backwards and throw yourself back

From what I heard, the foampit is usually lower than the landing of the box so a good flip to foam should be overspun a little, so when spun the same way it should be perfect on a box.

flips are really cool . one of the tricks ive always wanted to do . for a flip look back for rotation and tuck if your under flipping thats what john radtke told me

i just had to vote "eh" because I'm Canadian eh. But ya, flips are pretty sweet (even if I can't do one myself because I don't have a foam pit anywhere to practice).

eh for me, they had a ramp the same as the flybox but the foam pit was like 4 feet lower than the jump, but i figured since the rollin for the flybox was bigger tahn the foam pit, the extra speed would make up for lack of height, and it did..but yea, just to make sure you can flip on the box try and overroate a bit into foam, but make sure you can spot your landing good and land on your wheels in the foam sometimes too just to practice that

from what i have heard from people who can do tricks is that they are really over rated and they arent good until you can trick it

- Backflips are steezy over gaps :)
- Backflips get cool with combinations
- Backflips to flat on box is lame
- Backflips are overated

But yea, backflips boost your confidence tons, if you learn to flip and only learn to flip over one ramp e.g. out of a quarter, then it doesnt show much for yourself, so yea my theory: if your gonna backflip then mix it up and be original.

i agrre with all of that, at first i didnt try flipping anything different because i was afraid that a ramp any different than the one i learned them on would be really hard or soemthing, so the ones i did on the street box at the TIC comp were my first ones on a different ramp.

the only thing i hav tryed to flip was a box in melbourne, and that was bcoz it was the only thing i had been to that was flippable sinece i learnt flips, but i can flip trick so it is ok lol

i wouldnt know, lol

everyone and their mother knows that back flips are way easy, just scary to attempt the first couple of tries.

flip combos are more difficult, and if someone says they arent i will slit their throat. :D

yea, at tic i could do front into foam every time perfect, but was to nervous to try it on the box, but i was to scared to even try a backflip into the foam, when i did one the most i got was less then upside down cause i pussed out.
