I emailed proto warranty a week ago for my cracked deck which ive had for 3 weeks and i have gotten no reply or response from proto. If proto dose not take action to honor the warranty. I will file a complaint to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and sue them in the small claim court.

Just to help here....

1. Did you receive anything with the deck implying there is a warranty? I do not know much about their decks but that's the first question I really have.

2. Just FYI, reporting a scooter business to the BBB will do little to nothing. They have no real pull and pretty much complaints to them only get you anything when dealing with multi, multi million dollar companies who want to appear squeaky clean.

3. Have you tried calling Proto?

do it! teach proto a lesson
i like proto but i think companies need to have better customer service and they should have at least emailed you back.
but i would have at least called them before saying all this stuff.

There was a power outage in SoCal which crashed our computers/network and we lost all of our emails so please email again and that goes for anyone who contacted us recently.

As for the deck I'm pretty sure we responded somewhere else but basically it is physically impossible for that back brake hole to be THAT stretched out unless the brake was not installed properly. The hole clearly shows wear from having it loose which is not something any manufacturer can gurantee. It is also not a structural defect which means it is not going to effect the performance of the deck. Forward the email again and we'll check it out... might be able to hook you up with a UBS mount which uses the other holes then you can run whatever brake you want.

Well, we had really old computers all running different OS and they bugged out after the outage so we reformatted them and had everything backed up on an external which decided to format itself. It was not all directly related to the power outage but we have been out of communication off and on since then. We also do not use web-mail so the messages are gone. Like gone gone. We bought all new computers at the shop and rebuilt the entire network with RAID and web backups so it shouldn't happen again. It is a lot more complicated than running everything off one stand alone computer system...

I am resending the information regarding the deck. It is effecting the performance of the deck because i cant use the brake. I have bought everything except one part on my scooter from freestyle depot, i hope that the customer service will improve in the future. Also the deck is only 3 weeks old and i am very sure its not my fault because i have been riding for more then a year and i know what to do, i have have all the tools for scooter maintenance. I check my scooter every time before i ride. Therefore, it is only fair that you should honor the warranty.

I can vouch for this kid, his scooter was super dialed and the brake was definitely set up correctly.

In my opinion you should at least take a look at the deck in person rather than making all your judgments on the pictures..

If he could take it to them then I guess but asking them to drive down to check out his deck and go out of there way is ridiculous, Giving him a UBS system would be fair.

theres no exuse for a proto deck cracking in three weeks, no matter what your riding, give this man a refund or a new deck
