Scooter "Drifting"

Let it be known that Ralph Beam came up with the idea. The inventor of scooter drifting. The man himself.

What is scooter drifting?
A very fun way to destroy wheels.
One of the only ways to go fast while slamming the brake.
Good waste of money, good use of time.
A different way to scooter.

How to do it?
While leaning FAR over your bars, slam hard so your back wheel locks up (I recommend using a shit wheel/flatspotted wheel you wont use ever.. ever again)
then simply fishtail side to side, do tricks and what not until you run out of deck space to continue, or the wheel is undriftable.

Where to do it?
Any good hill, steep enough to get speed on a dead wheel, long enough to get a good amount of drifting in before climbing back up, and solid enough (preferably asphalt) to achieve drift. A nice big road is good for this

haha it's so much fun. If you did it on a gravel kind of hill you could slide easier without wrecking the wheel too much couldn't you? It would be heaps easier to eat shit though.

I'm doing it now with a DEHUBBING proto metalcore. It's on it's last leg glue wise (as in, about 300 degrees is separating, the other 60 is glued still)
It's lasting hella long.

My friend did this with some nice wheels and he didn't know it would destroy his wheels...and now his back wheel is destroyed

I'm doing it to a 3/4ths dehubbing Proto. Urethane pulling off hella so it's going down.
It slides like a beast, since it grips to the brake so well its just so easy to get sliding. lasted longest so far as well.

I just took an a model and bolted the foldy foward, put a roller blade wheel in the front. And rigged a blade break in the back with no spring so it'll be nice and loud haha. Also I put griptape on the break but it wore out already
