SCS without Starnut

If I just run an ics bolt through my fork, and then drop the proto top cap in my scs, and then an ics starnut and just thread it in, will that work?
Thanks guys!

I use an epic fork and all the starnuts I've installed have stripped quickly
and it's a big hassle it took me forever last time

yes it does, i used that compression for like 3 months and it stayed tight pretty good actually, its just a pain to take your wheels and bars off just to tighten though, and a bolt and locknut works equally good instead of an ics starnut

Its not the smartest compression, but itll still work.
Stop bumping after such short amounts of time. The threads not going anywhere in 3 minutes.

and you dont use an ics star nut unless you are using ics when you are using ics/scs
1)you take a top cap put it on on the bottom of the fork
2)then take the ics bot and put it through the top cap and through the forks
3)then you put the scs on with a top cap on it
4)make sure the bolt is sticking though the scs top cap
5)then use a star nut or a nut and thread it on to the ics bolt until it is tight
6)and if it keeps coming loose use locktite on the ics bolt threads and keep it super tight

It works fine. My brother's Phorx are stripped at the integrated starnut, so there is just a bolt and nut through the SCS. It has stayed dialed for 5 months now without touching it.
