Small pain in the ass in exchange for preventing spam?

I've found a way to apply a password to all sections of the board.

Problem is, if you want to access it, you need to put in the password.
i'd make the password simple (and put it in the description of the board, like General Discussion -> password = scooter or something)

Question is, Would you guys mind having the password, or is it tolerable as it is?

Judging by the Gentlemens discussion section, which has never had a spam problem, bots cannot put in passwords, from my understanding.

Update btw, it seems to work. No spam here since I started it (even the spam you guys don't see.. ugh)

the regular user cant see how many spam threads there are. its literally like 90% spam.
