SMX Forks + Pegs?

Alright, I have tilt park pegs (aluminum) which obviously don't fit on SMX forks. I borrowed my friend's chromoly tilt peg, and that doesn't fit either. I somehow ghetto rigged it and now I can't get it off haha. I'm gonna shove a flat head in where the nut is and twist the bolt off. I want to use my aluminum pegs though.. Should I get new forks, or is there anything else i can do?

cut a little notch out of the fork by where the hole is if you can ..at least thats what bonner did

That ^^. IT won't weaken it but it'll look a bit different. If you're going to ride pegs your fork is going to take a few hits anyways and get ruined near the peg.

or do put a bearing spacer before the peg like how you are supposed to ride pegs on a smx
