Split Slow motion in Vegas 6.0

Could someone quickly explain it?
I'm using envelope velocity, but i can't get it to sync right with the other clips after the split.
Help please?

envelope velocity? wtf?

Just slow down exactly 2 or 4 times, so the clip's frames would divide equally with the movie, that way the slowo'ed clip will look smooth instead of blur.

i just hold control the drag the clip a bit.

i'm assuming your using the 's' key to split the part you want slow-mo'd, so just do what jordan said and hold control and drag the part to the right you want slower.

and! don't forget to right click the audio bar of the part you just slow-mo'd and lock audio to stretch. its in a menu somewhere, i can't remember exactly. but check that box or else it sounds disgusting.
