Make a really good video, with your best stuff, and send it to companys sponsoring.

But being sponsored isnt everything.

Right let's get this straight with some examples.

You do not go to Sponsors, they come to you. And they don't come to you based on how long you have been riding, or how good you are. They come based on your attitude to the sport as a community and, how much you are willing to represent their company.

Sponsorship isn't about the free stuff at all, never should be. The whole point of a company sponsoring, is as a way of marketing. To get their name out there. They do this by sending the rider their parts and merchandise. They send riders to competitions, and the make edits etc. These are all things that people are going to see, and think "Wow that is one respectful rider, the company he rides for must be legit."

Now I have been riding for 2 years also, and I am sponsored by 2 companies. If you look at it from one way, I shouldn't be. I suck to be blunt. The reason I ride for teams is because I want to GIVE back to the sport, by helping out a new company build themselves up. I ride for LG Pro Scooters, and I did not say to Joel "Can I be sponcered cos I am really good and I deserve it." He offered me a place on the team because of my attitude. Here is what he said when he offered me the place:

Dude haven't seen edit yet as iPod playing up will check on pc later, but for your passion for the sport that is obvious from posts on sr and hang5 and for the wording of your emails that convince me that you do what you do because you love doing it and not to be a star in a million edits or to hear the sound of your own voice on forums I will offer you a place now before I see it as you are the kind of person I want our products to be associated with.
This is just one example of how your skill level and years spent riding doesn't affect a companies decision as much as your attitude to the sport.

Sorry for the long block of text, however I hope I made a point.

Dont ride just for sponsors. Ride for fun, ride for yourself. Who cares about sponsors.
Make videos, and a sponsor will come to you if you deserve it.

Perfect example is Jon Archer and Scooterhut.

When Luke Maff made Jon Archer that edit a few months ago, ScooterHut COMMENTED on YOUTUBE telling Jon to ring them up.
Now Jon's on scooterhut.

Pro tip: You definitely won't get sponsored if you don't know how to spell it. Doesn't really show a lot of effort and makes you look ignorant. And it makes it seem like you're most likely twelve and can almost do double whips.

Thank about the Company/people that sponsor.... Not only do they want a good rider/compete in contest...they want some one that is professional and projects a positive image for that company...It's not always about placing first... It is all MARKETING/giving back from the companies point of view

keep in mind this is a growing sport that has huge potential in the future...
