Style.

Right, i cant find a thread on this, but if their is one, im sorry.

but basically i just wanted to see everyones opinion on what style is,
like what does it take for someone to have a good style?

like to me, its being clean in landing your tricks, having good bar height/width, dressing decently when riding, i.e NOT tracksuit bottoms and tracksuit tops. and not throwing as many tricks as you can in one air. (among other things)

so yeah, i just wanted to see what everyone else classes as a good style?

Lol, only chavs scoot in tracksuits, everyone else has better sense.
I try to keep a good balance between park and street and when I ride parks it's basicly boxes or bowls, air tricks is my speciality. In street I whore ledges, not to much of a handrail fan but I do a lot of flat rails, so yeah :p

wait are you saying that i'm implying each person doesn't have their own subjective views on style? if so i'm confused, that's why i started the thread, to get an idea of everyone else's ideas on it? sorry if i'm coming across a bit stupid, i'm dead tired.

Yeah my post isn't clear either. Basically, style is something that you can't really describe in any sense. You can say that you love street, but there's plenty of street that has bad style. You can't pinpoint what makes good style and what doesn't, you just can say whether a given example is or isn't good style.

yeah, your completely right, i thought that, but i thought i was wrong and was hoping someone would post on this thread a golden answer to what style is...would you say style is something you can develop? or just something you have or you dont?

In my opinion, it can be both. Some people have it. Some people, as they develop, start to have "better" style.

for me i try to have a relaxed and easy going style, forget about people watching you or trying to impress anybody and just have fun on your scooter....when other people are watching you having fun, they have fun with you. i dont like the idea of fiting in as much tricks in one air as possible but instead banging a steezy clean trick.

it is the ability to make everything look easy, this varys by environment, like who you ride with, and what sport influences you and what is more plentiful terrain for you to ride

Don't try and change your style, unless you ride ski. Everyone's unique.

to an extent, but you dont want fluctuating speeds, or sloppily landed tricks, or unlocked grinds. if you do your tricks properly, stay at a steady speed and feel comfortable on a scooter you should develop a good style

I love when riders just have that little afterbang in their style. Like every trick they do naturally ends with a steezy landing.

YES! So many people dress so badly during their videos and its just not like as... influencing. Dylan Kasson, Ryan gould, those are the people I enjoy seeing videos from, because they shred and look good while doing it.
No homo! haha
