Thinking about buying medium format.

Was kinda looking for an opinion of someone that knows a bit (Dylan? Sean?)
What would be a decent, cheapish Digital medium format camera just to have a play around with for the moment.
I'm kind of interested in Modelling/Portrait style photography, and wouldn't mind playing with a medium format camera to see how they are.
Cheers.

get either a Mamiya RB67 (6x7, 9 pictures per roll)
or a Bronica ETRS (6x 4.5, 16 pictures per roll)
or a Bronica SQ-Ai (6x6, 12 pictures per roll)

The ETRS is probably the cheapest one, then the RB67, then the SQ-Ai

Bronica glass used to be made by Carl Zeiss, and mine has a Zeiss lens on it. Mamiya glass is also really sharp.

there is no such thing as a cheap digital medium format camera, they go for like 20000 or so haha
your going to have to shoot film, which means you will have the costs of buying it, developing it, and scanning it and you will need to get a negative scanner or find access to one if you want your pictures on your computer
a good negative scanner, the one i use which gets super sharp scans go for around $150 refurbished its called a epson v500 look it up
your also going to have to make sure that somewhere around you develops 120 film which i doubt they do its only like specialty shops and they are rare im not sure how it is over in australia
but you could probobly get a good setup for 300-400 buy all the parts separate off http://www.keh.com/OnLineStore/Cate...e=&item=0&ActivateTOC2=true&ID=39&BC=SQ&BCC=5 get a bronica sq-a body, 120 6x6 back, 80mm f2.8, and a waistlevel veiwfinder

oh and if you were serious about digital medium format photography heres one of the cheaper ones http://www.keh.com/OnLineStore/Prod...=&ID=43&BC=HA&BCC=5&CC=1&CCC=1&BCL=&GBC=&GCC=
