Warming up.

Whenever I go to a park, I have to ride just pumping for about 10 mins before I can ride well, on flat I usually just do a load of 180s and huge fakies, an riding street varies. Sometimes if it's a set I firecracker it or jump and stall about half way up. Anyone else have to warm up or is it just me? Cause all the bikers I ride with think I'm just weird.

I warm up for park by just doing simple tricks out of banks and stuff, nothing big, some easy rails too. For street, just man up, Barspin the set if you gotta, then do the trick.

What about everyone else riding street? It's normally about 10 mins for me, but if I've ridden to a spot for ages not quite as long.

I just pull few miniramp runs for warm up at my local, then few hangfives.
Usually at other parks i do easy tricks out of banks like doubles, heelwhips, barspins and stuff. Then i grind few downrails and ledges, after that im fully warmed up.

^Stretching makes such a difference in your riding.

I never warm up. Whenever I arrive at a park I immediately start trying something dumb and usually end up rolling my ankle or fucking up my wrist. Then my session is ruined. I need to start warming up lol.

I've never stretched before riding my scooter. I think I might try doing it today and see how it goes.

yea but im willing to bet most everybody stretches wrong lol

your not supposed to do static stretches(pulling your arm across your chest/touching your toes) before physical activity, they are for after. Active stretching is much better for preparing your muscles for use.

you might look retarded but do some knee's to chest while walking for 10 yards or so, then on the way back kick your legs straight up in the air. then wave your arms in a cirlce like a windmill a few times and you should be good.

I think I'm gonna start stretching, my body is always sooo fucked up after a long session. Is there any way to stretch your back so it won't hurt as much when riding? I have a really bad back
