Water seal problem with scorchers!!

I have a huge problem with the water seal on my scorcher forks, they have this wierd groove on the bottom and if you use a water seal it wont fit and my headset doesnt spin as well.
i dont want to not have a water seal because if i dont then when im ridin and i accidentally hit a puddle i could ruin a bearing...../...
TIIIPPSSS???????
