did anyone else watch the x-games? i didnt think it was as good as the past few years, but the bike and moto was good, exspecially jamie bestwick's flair double whip, keven robinson trying double flairs, and ryan gullar doing turndown frontflips up a huge step-up....just wonding if anyone else watched it.....

ya i watched it. i thought it was pretty good. but i only really liked the bmx, and i don't know why but i watched a lil fmx and it seemed better than usuall? and i thought corey bohan's last run in dirt was my favorite thing.

I got myself banned.
BMX park was deffinatly fixed. Scottys run was so much better than Mirra's and he didn't fall like Mirra did. Judges must have felt bad because he got a little concussion on a opposite air the night before, boo hoo. Mirra could have atleast threw down a hammer since he knew he allready had gold, i wouldn't be pissed if he would have tryed to throw a triple whip for the crowd.

The X-Games seemed to have sold out, the ammount of commercials is insane now, i can't remember if it was like this 2 year ago but its way too many commercials. I'm dissapointed that inline skating is totally gone, i loved watching the park comp although im not a fan of skates that much.

Also suddenly the X-Games skatepark around here as been disowned by ESPN and the website is down... Maybe ESPN is slowly trying to get rid of the xgames?

I have to agree with Brian Boston. Like What the hell were the judges smoking. Mirra didn't throw anything up that step up thing. and there were people who were throwing front flip turndowns, backflips and 720's. Yeah I don't know what happened but I was deffinately feeling that the judges gave Mirra some sympathy points or something because his run didn't seem to impress me too much, and half of his tricks were all muscled over because when they played it in slowmo he was landing kinda scketchy and stuff. But it's just my opinion.

I didn't watch any other parts to the x games. But I don't like what they are doing with Skateboard street. They have wood ramps in there now it's ridiculous. They should bring it to SF and a bunch of the spots are within riding distance from eachother but w/e.

And Surfing WTF was West Coast thinking, they should have won that, I was so pissed when they lost by what 5 or 6 points? It wasn't cool.

Just my input about X Games 11.

i'm a little out of the loop because i missed last years and maybe the year before x-games. i remember in 02 when the x-games lasted at least a week and they showed all the qualifiers and they had things like bmx flatland and skateboarding doubles and inline and even luge. this year it seemed like it started and then it was over. it was kinda nice having some breathing room before and not having to watch every single second of the shows to see the best stuff when you could just space out during qualifiers or whatever. it used to be that you could switch between espn and espn 2 and would probably find something about the x-games.
i think the reason mirra won was because he has so much credibility that the judges had pretty much already made up their minds about his place as long as he didnt mess up completely.
sorry if that didnt really make sense i was doing other things while i was typing.

i miss when the x-games was in philly, i went there for the bmx, and the boom boom huck jam like 2 years ago. and someone tried a triple in the vert best trick contest but crashed, and they still have inline vert in the x-games, but dont show it on t.v this year, which is gay caz they are crazy.....

did anyone catch morgan wade's bikeflip (from last year)? absolutely ridiculous.

also: xgames is stuck in LA for the next 4 years...which is cool because i live there...but lame because it will get boring.

i think one of the best x games ever was definately 2001.. im not a big fan of skateboarding but bob burnquists skateboard vert run was insane.. maybe not the best run ever but very smooth and and all... as for this x games.. i kept waiting to see my man takeshi yasutoko (spelling) conquer (spelling...lol) xgames with his insane skills but it was gay that they didnt show it... whatever happened to bob burnquist in vert this year and last year? its been really weird.. and nyquist isnt performing well either.. i guess its the pressure.. as for mirra.. he threw down a really sick run and i think he deserved to be in at least the top 2...

yea, this year i watched mx best trick, all the bmx stuff, and the skateboard big air. i thought Way's Christ Air was pretty sweet.

PLG looks wierd..he shouldnt have won...and shaun white had an awesome run compared to all the main pros thats been skating for 20 years...especially for trying a fakie 1080 on vert 29 times..props to him..

i forget who it was but someone tried frontfliping from flat to this hip thing in the park comp, it would be the same as riding on top of a box and frontfliping into the landing....he didnt land it though, it would be sick if he gets it....and i was hopeing travis pastrana would try a double backflip
