So I'm seeing a lot of people's scooters with bmx-looking bars and bandanas on them. I'm assuming that the bandanas are for padding? And is it weird riding with those bars?

You will get a ticket or beat up going there. It kinda sucks that bikes and scooters aren't allowed. I mean, it is a public park...
