125mm wheel comeback?

So I was watching a couple hep greg vids and I thought, whatever happened to the whole 125mm wheel craze. I know that was a long time ago, but I mean 125mm wheels give a lot more ground clearance, travel/speed but that also depends on how the urethane is made, although 125mm wheels I am pretty sure ovalize faster through a much shorter period of time, but if there was a new design or some new thought put into bringing them back, like different companies producing them, and processes and designs of 125mm wheels, there could be a possible comeback, I do not see anything bad about that much larger of a wheel, if I were a scooter parts manufacturer I would be try to have the most variety, like for an example being wheels, going from 100mm to 125mm, or anywhere in-between, different urethane shapes and whether or not the urethane is hard or soft ranging from 84a to who knows even 98a. Even more, with some pegs being longer than others, 125mm wheels giving more ground clearance can even out the problem of having the right length of a peg so that it does not scrape the ground and fuck you up with riding around hard turns and such, especially if you would need some spacers.

So does anyone think there will be a comeback someday?

i think proto was going to make 125's
personally, i think 125 is too big. I've never ridden it though, so i could be wrong. but for now, i'm fine with 110's. 115's would be cool though

yeaa id ride the FUCK out of some 115's.. and plus, there arent alot of forks that fit 125mm wheels. they would have to make maad new forks just to fit em

with every new deck getting wider and longer, it's eventually gonna be necessary for 125mm to be the standard. 125's are sick though, I think all companies should make 125mm forks and wheels.

if legit 125mm metal cores, and decent compatible decks/forks were available and didnt cost an arm and a leg I might start riding 125 them. rode some 125s on my mirco bullet a while back and woulda stayed with it if the deck wasnt sketch.

i agree with isaac 125mm is to big & looks wack! but 115mm would be pretty dope, but i dont know if they would make the cores bigger or just have more urethane. Having more urethane means easier to dehub tho.

I think that Proto was making another company called "River Wheels"? Whatever the company name is they're supposed to experiment with some new and old ideas, like 125mm wheels.

And you're still hard pressed to find anything bigger than ~4.5. The biggest standard deck there is (not a sig or anything) is the 4.65 Reventon I believe. You're lucky if you can find a 5.0 FM2 or something.

when decks start getting wider than 5 inches, 125's will replace 100's.

Also Hep... being that you had your own wheel from eagle, and it was a 125, I'm pretty sure you can agree with me saying that it makes street a hell of a lot easier because of that clearance thing, because the smaller the wheel, same issue with skateboards, the smaller the wheel the more there is of a chance getting hung up on a certain obstacle
