180 Half-Cabs

Been having a huge problem with these for a while... I've pretty much gotten the 180 in and fakie down, but half-cabbing out is the problem, just can't get them well. Pretty much everytime im in fakie and am ready to hop out either one of the 5 happens:

1.) After hopping into fakie I land on the brake and lose balance.
2.) Loss of balance in general (least common)
3.) I go 180-fakie-90-90 and looks REALLY sloppy
4.) Indian Giver
5.) Pivot 180 or 90-90 out

I just really want to get the 180-fakie-180 HOP out instead of pivot out :/. Any tips..?

I mean I do commit haha. I do it's just im having problems getting the full 180 hop out of fakie. I practice all the time, ive probably been trying to get this trick dialed for about 6 months now... :(

The best tip for half cabs is to look where you want to spin. If you want to spin right, look right, and vice versa. It is hard to half cab in a direction you are not comfortable with if you are not looking in that direction. If you really can't do it, try and carve the way you want to go a little bit to get your momentum going.

Indian givers are gross.
Try turning a little in the direction you are spining to have a little extra momentum that will help you spin.

if you land on the brake, just pull up harder during the 180, thats what works for me, and then turn into the 180 out and commit and practice
