After riding a plethora of wheels...

It's time to review and place my top picks.

1: PROTO GRIPPER METAL CORES!
Excellent wheels. Super grippy and super fast, slightly less fast than Eagles, but ... more solid feeling, or something. They're nice and come in many styles/colors etc. Worth it.

1: EAGLESPORT METALCORES!
Amazingly fast wheels with any bearings. Multiple styles and colors, definitely prime urethane. Eagle quality is high, I recommend these to anyone (as i do with protos!) Worth every penny.

You see how they're both 1:? They both kick ass. I can't decide. I love how grippers feel, but I've broken two. I like the speed of Eagles, but I've chunked two. It's too hard a decision to make, like if someone told you to chop off your balls or dick first.

2: Twizzlers.
Very hard urethane (in my experience), really slippery. However, excellent for street/asphalt/rough surface riding. Neat core design, some color options. Good wheels if you can't access protos/eagles. Stupid sizes though (105/100mm.)

3: Kevlar hub / Vapor wheels:
Really grippy, kinda slowish, dehub easily. Good front wheel, awful back wheel. Neat colors/core designs and rather cheap.

3: Hyperformance +G:
Good plastic core. Hard to find 110, but super duper fast. Ovalizes easy as hell.

4: Am Wing:
THE BEST plastic wheel around. Impossible to find the strong cored ones, sadly. If you can somehow make the new versions solid, you will be blown away by the speed.

5: Pro Mod wheels:
Some hot glue and you're good to go. not much else to say

6: Lucky wheels.
...They look pretty, thats it. Spend that money on Protos, or Eagles.
Or 30 things from the dollar store, or 120 gumballs.

That's all.

i think youre a little hard on lucky wheels... i mean i have some and theyre holding up decently, only a tiny bit of dehubbing and the urethane is pretty good. They flatspot easy, but i would definately put them above pro mod wheels.
if youve only ridden one pair, who knows, maybe the batch was defective or someshit
im not taking lucky's side, but i dont see why you hate them so badly, theyre good wheels

hopefully I don't get flamed for this, but the Yak Scat is holding up way better than i expected. I threw it in the back and I've been relearning double whips flat, flyout triple whips, and this kid was flairing a bunch today on my scooter with a lot of slams that I thought for sure would demolish the wheel. But not any damage at all. I even tried doing double whips on a quarter pipe, then landing sideways so that I would slide down the ramp sideways and its fine.
