My Scs tightens like 3 turns more at the top two than it does at the bottom. Also my bars come out of line after a day of simple flat. Should I be worried about this?
Cheers
Do you have a slit in your bars? If so cut the slit off, and it doesnt matter too much if it tightens more
, just tighten them evenly top to bottom, like a half turn at a time
I have district al-1 bars. And the slit is off apart from half of the drilled hole at the top. And I know that wont bend in so it can't be that. I also tighten them evenly. It just pisses me off that i have to tighten the top bit more.
It happens, i have to stretch my tilt scs to get my bars in, then the bottom tightens more than the top. Try getting some rough sand paper and barely roughen up the bars that sit in the scs so there's more friction?
It's fairly new. And my top cap is seriously messed up. It has grinded down part of my integrated headset cup on my district. Now it wobbles but it is still basketball dialled.
And I'll try that Collin.
its because your bars are a little smaller than the scs you have to make your own shim out of a pop can or something and it should stop.
its because the diameter of your forks is bigger than it should be so it stretches the scs out more it doesn't effect anything though but if it really bothers you just do the pop can shim thing.
are your bars standard or oversized? if standard put a piece of rubber between the shim and the clamp and another between the shim asnd bars, this will make the clamp tighten harder and they shouldnt wobble out, asnd the rubber is grippy too so it holds better
