Im just curiuos to see if this bugs any one else. ok so im over at my friends house who scoots and skates well a couple of his skater friends come over and right when we all start riding they start saying how gay scootering is and that its easy, so i let them ride it and they cant do anything i also keep telling them its a matter of what you like and what you enjoy doing and for me its scootering. And i used to skate so they asked why i quit and i said i quit because i just wasnt into it anymore and once i got on scooter and starting getting good and loving it i just kept with it. but no matter how hard i try they dont respect scooters or anything to do with them. i meen dont get me wrong there cool and where friends i just dont know what it is. it also happens at the skatepark.

Anyone want to clear it up?

My skater friends do that as well. As long as they aren't as good as you on a scooter then they shouldn't be able to talk shit. Just try and ignore it or show them up on a skateboard.

Shit you need to get over it and ride your damn kiddy scooter until you find good friends who will ride with you. Until then, be happy and dont worry about tiny things like this. Life only gets harder and harder as the clock ticks by.

all the skaters round here are cool about scooters, they ride them sometimes and can do double whips and stuff. Noone at the park calls scooters gay or anything since i know everyone at the park and im friends with most of them.

Obvisouly there not very good friends if they hate that you scooter and constantly give you shit for riding a scooter.

Give them shit back for riding a piece of wood with wheels, and if it gets real bad and hell annoying.. beat them into submission with a t-tube.

No worries dude. Youll get respect when you get it. There were times at my local where I got hated on by a lot of people. I got most of my respect by fighting. But that was respect from the people I didnt care about in the first place. Every local as the few certain bikers, or skaters that are the best there and stuff. And One by one I would slowly start getting props from each of them, they didnt need to like scooters...they respected me because of the dedication I used to have while riding. I expressed that everytime I got on my scooter. Respect is something that you gotta earn from people, and you dont always earn it the same way. When it happens, It happens.

No one gives us shit for riding scooters but then again I don't ride park. My friends ride park and sometimes I'll go with them but not really ride. Just chill. However since I'm 6'4" and about 240 lbs and can just about beat the shit out of any kid there no one says anything, but I'm also pretty good friends with most of the guys there.

If you don't want to fight. Just hire a body builder to go with you for like 3 days and give him a scooter and have him back you up. No one will fuck you. Ever.

At my locals (Glenmore/Jamo) Its more like a community.
Most of the decent/good riders from all forms are mates.
Its just funny when BMXers/Skaters from other parks come and start to tease scooters... Cause then the local bmxers/skaters that shred the people teasing come and start chilling with us...
Justice really.
