Backdropouts

I was wondering if there was another way/ mod that i can use to fix the back dropouts on an old A deck, they are just starting to crack and I dont have an aluminium welder to fix it, I tryed to drill a hole through it and bolt it but I didnt know if it is going to be very affective.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Um, if it's cracked, just get a new deck. And find brackets small enough to fit on the drop outs. No holes needed in the deck, just drill the bracket so that the fender and rear axles will go through them.

get some steal plates about 6" long that will fit inside the dropouts, and put them in ardount he axel and brake bolts and it shuold hold up for a while, and then it might break in the middle like mine did after like 6 months though

yeh the idea with the metal strips bolted on the sides is good unless you have an old A. (never said)
and jb weld will definetly NOT work.

yeh then you pretty much stuck with havinf to re-weld it. and i would also re-enfoprce it with gussets. since you dont have a tig i would try to find a place to get it done or get a new skoot. we welded one of cary's skoots but it was one of those shitty ones with "suspension" on the back that broke anyways. lol

no i have all that and it doesnt weld nearly as good as a real tig does. pretty much a waste of money for the kit.

yes tig= $$$ but i have seen some good ones for about 1200 bucks but mostly they are around the 200 dollar range. but i think it is money well spent. never buy or break another skooter again. EVER!!!
