best bearings

investing a ton of money into bearings for scooters is useless. get some reds or other cheap bearings, they are good for a decent portion of the wheels life.

Get something cheap just make sure it doesn't have metal ball cages, most don't apart from the 5 dollar ones from china.

Get nothing more than abec 5, because the higher the abec rating the more precise the bearings are, and the mechanics of scooter riding do not agree with precise bearings. Abec 9s will pop or break much quicker than 5's. Also, speed difference is minimal, taking into account the size, weight and orientation of a scooter you cannot get bearings that will actually be faster than others. The only thing that will make you slower is resistence or friction of the bearings, once you're rolling smooth no bearing will be any faster.

The only real thing wheel and bearing wise that effects your speed is the size and hardness of the wheel (Also the weight to a degree, but it's minimal). Bigger and harder are the fastest.

I recommend modus black bearings, cheap and very lasting. If you can get them near you I'd go for them, I've been riding the same ones on and off for a year now and no problems. I usually hit gaps and stairs so they take impact fairly well.

do not get reds. they are pretty bad. i broke them in two weeks. i have world industries and they are the best and cheap. but what ever you do.. USE BEARING SPACERS
