Ok..so i wanted to change my proto bearings and i didnt feel like damaging the bearings,,so this is what you do..take your wheel with the bearings in it and put it in the sink and put the water at the hottest it can go,,and point it at the middle of the bearing for about a minute, then quickly get a screw driver and put it thru the bottom of the wheel so it hits the side of the top bearing and they pop right out=]...(the hot water expands the metal,,therfore making the bearing slot bigger)

well if you could care less about some old bearings, then why not just beat the shitt outta em with a screw driver?

Oh wait.
Not a bad idea in theory, as long as you just run stock bearings and have plenty of them.
I do it if i snap fork threads inside bars and can't get them out.

because if you do this it wont fuckk up your wheel.

this would actually make the bearing harder to get out.
getting the metal cold would shrink it and make the bearings easier to remove.
but the easiest way is to shoot a little WD-40 and let them sit for a minute and then they slide right out.
and if you put some inside before you put your bearings back in you can avoid the whole problem

yeah, it will. if you pry out the bearings and stretch the bearing slot thatll fuckk them up. if you hammer them out with an axle or something and hit the core you could dent it and not be able to fit a bearing in the slot. most likely if you "beat the shitt outta it" then youll get a fuccked up, ovalized wheel.

It really isn't hard to blow dry bearings...
Hell you could throw them in the oven for a few minutes hahaha
not like < 5 minutes of water submersion would even cause IRREVERSIBLE damage.

3 in 1 / speed lube would easily repair any (minor) damage... you all act like the bearings will instantly rust.

Indeed!

Irony. This is an excellent idea in theory.
