I hear that's not smart but I'd love it if I can. I hear it'll peel as soon as you take a fall. I want to paint mine too but I dont want to have to put a million coats on. People say it sooo easy but then they say just put on a coat of paint, primer, paint, paint, primer, paint, and sealent. I dont want to do that and I dont think you do either.

i want to paint my scooter too.. wouldnt you just sand the bars and raw them down.. then primer it.. like 2 coats.. paint.. like 3 coats.. then over coat.. like clear or something.. like 3 coats.. i dunno someone tell us! lol

Seal it with clear coat, and it wont peel, it will still scratch and chip or w.e, but any paint does that.

go to a powder coating company you tell them what u want and pay 45 dollars an BAM paintjob for a good year

if ur gonna rattle can it . use montana hadcore spray paint its so amazing and it doesnt really chip

powder coating is your best choice. however its also more expensive and it adds some good weight. but if you decide to spray paint, then do 2 layers of primer(with a very, very light sanding after each one), then do 3-4 layers of the paint, then 1 or 2 layers of clear coat.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Nobody wants to have to put one 50 coats of stuff just for a paintjob.

Just Do Two Coats Primer,Three Coats of Paint,Then Three Coats of Clear Coat.Waiting for the Coats to drie in between Each Coat.It's Simple,I dun it before.

25 bucks theres a few to choose from that are pretty sick. i have one and i havent gotten a single scratch on it yet. they are GREAT quality very durable. its the same vinyl that he uses to make his dirtbike graphics

here is mine, for example

a while ago I made a how-to for a bike, but is the same for a scoot:

- Get yourself some spraypaint. You'll need a baselayer, color and varnish/clearcoat.
You can get it at any hardware store.

- Get some sandpaper. You'll need grid 400 and 600. (hardware store)

- Pull your bike apart (also all the bottombracket and headset, yes.)

- Sand it roughly with 400. Make shure you get everey corner. After that
you'll do it once more with 600. you should wetsand it to get a better result at the end.

- Mask any parts of the frame you dont want paint on. Like in the headtube, or in the
bottombracket area. Its also better if you mask the seattube.

- then put un the baselayer. Its better to put on 2 baselayers
to get out any of the inperfections of the former paint
If you get zinkspray it will be dry in like 10 seconds
and you can start right off with the color.

- spray 3 to 5 thin layers of colourpaint.

- let it dry a bit, so get yourself a nice beer.

- then get the clearcoat and spray 2 to 3 thin layers on it as an extra shiny thing.
If you have a flat color you'll need heat-resistant clearcoat.
So your color will stay flat.

- let it dry for something like 24 ours. Or what the manual says.

- then put your bike back together and show off!
