does this work with the same principles as a bar end that you screw a bolt in that forces the outside bits outward and grips to the steerertube ?

Yes you can put it in the fork for scs or hic it comes with a shorter bolt aswell

i had one but i stripped the threads on the compression bolt the first time i put it on cause it has aluminum bolts but the starnut idea works really good, but overall dont buy one they suck.

Ive got one its so easy to install, much better than starnuts. But the compression bolts suck because their alu.

^^^ yeah, if you tighten your compression to tight it strips the threads on the bolt.

naw tried it the starnut doesnt fit in forks only works for 1-1/4 bars maybe oversized bars. (havnt tried.)

But do not buy this until blunt changes the bolt to steel. Theyre aluminum right now so they bend and strip really easy.

why would you want a starnut in oversized bars anyways? HIC has a starnut in the fork...
