So I just recently switched from an RUP deck to a blunt deck, with the same headset, fork and scs setup, which was über dialed on my ultra. On the blunt deck, it is not at all. Wobbles every which way. The only difference I have noticed is that the top cup falls into the headtube without effort, but I don't see why thats a problem.

The only way I can get it not to wobble like a belly dancer from hell is by tightening it so much the headset doesn't even spin, and even then there's still some play in there. Please help?

it sounds to me like your headtube is ovalised, and i know when wheels gat ovalised, you have to put tape around the bearing slot. I don't see why that wouldn't work with a headtube, someone correct me if I'm wrong

Blunt is awesome and pre wears decks in for us! The headtubes come ovalized. Best bet is to throw some tape in the ovalized spot and hope for the best.

I just put a little bit around the edges of the bearings (like the tape method) and pop em in the wheel. When it dries it expands a tiny bit, LOCKing it TITE, hence the name. No more deathclick, no more problems with the wheel.

Haha yeah it basically is but its meant for mechanical stuff like cars etc. It's alot stronger and more contolable than glue, but it basically is glue. You don't need much at all though; a drop or two.

ultra > blunt
but yeah, you should try tape first, if that dont work try your locktite idea

Haha you can still take them out, thats what's so good about locktite. I had no problems taking my bearings out, kinda like hammering them out of eagles, just need a little bit of extra muscle. No harm done. I understand your concern though.

Who knows. I'm with rob, I'll probly like RUP more, cuz I'm a mellow HTA guy, but I really like the feel of blunts somehow. Well see in 6 months when I'm able to ride again...
