can any one give me pointers on fakies

well, obviously practice but when i was noobier at fakies i used to look at my wheel and go slow.
It helped me alot, but know i cazn fakie around 17 car spaces looking straight forward.

haha, yeah suicide tactic... it helps to start on a nice flat, smooth road. Maybe like your local underground carpark they're the smoothest, i have found.

Try and practice down small hills starting backwards, yeah and look at your front wheel your gonna fall off if you look elsewhere when your starting

Try to learn them on a small kicker first, like go up stall and come back and go to fakie. You have to just figure out your way of doing it. After that try 180ing into them. Just boost the 180 off flat and make sure you land straight from where you came. Like you have to hit the 180 really good or else you'll be messed up. Then for getting out, practice sliders and half cab with the kicker.

The main thing that tends to help is to take it easy. When you're trying to adjust and countersteer just relax and do it smooth. If you don't you'll countersteer way to hard and mess yourself up.

And you don't want to start fakies by going slow. take it at a medium speed when you're learning because it's easier to balance then when you're going slow but less scary then when you're going really fast.

Never hop, ever. I didn't learn hopping, I just took it like a man and learned how to countersteer. This dude at Dustin's house would hop like mad and it sucked. Kid was chill, but hopping wasn't.

OK OK Alex is pro at fakies, and I consider myself to be pretty good also. DO NOT START out going slow. That will ultimatley fuck you up. Going slow will make you sloppy, you'll be wobbling all over the place. I don't know about the whole looking at your front deal either, since i look over my shoulder when i'm riding fakie. List of things not to do : ride with a good amount of speed (not mach 10), Do not do fakie hops to correct your direction, instead counter steer like what alex was saying, and most important of all Don't stop trying them until you master that shit.
