hi im new to scootering and it would be cool if someone could explain to me the compression system for scooters, thanks:D

when u use a fork that doesnt have threads (doesnt screw on to ur bars) you need compession so that the fork is being pulled up towards the bars .. if u dont use compression with a theadless fork then it is possible for bars to randomly come off your fork while riding ..LOCK

when you are going to run a threadless fork you need a threadless headset you need to have something to compress it. inverted there is a start nut in the bars and a long both that goes underneath the fork that you tighten to compress the bars to the fork a scs a both goes thru the clamp and goes to the starnut thats now in the fork pretty much like a bike neck? i forget the name of the part

so is it like the same thing as bike setups, why is this better than threaded stetups?
for me its kinda just that threads get damaged and it suks to replace

Threads getting damaged? Not gonna happen. The tube can snap, but your not gonna be able to ruin the thread on a fork, they will ruin your bars first.
