There's been threads, but they die too soon so don't bother searching.
I have Kenwood 6.5 door speakers, had two 12" Pioneers wired as one-ohm to a PPI-950 Sedona amp. Bought the setup for $150 but ended up only paying $100, flipped it for $165. Once you have subs that are actually decently loud, they just get annoying. I'd rather hear crisp audio with a little bit of bass than JUST bass. Been there, done that, and it gets so repetitive so fast.
Looking into getting a 10" Kicker VR with a stealthbox and a low-wattage menace amp. Another popular thing I see people doing lately is getting a stealthbox that goes where your spare would normally go. Not sure how hard it would hit after being covered by carpet, but I'll look into it eventually.
