Cheap Decent Cameras

I got myself banned.
What do you mean by a big lens? You can allways buy a wide angle lens or fisheye to get more in your shot if thats what you mean. And whats your pricerange when you say cheap? You can get a Canon Optura 10 or 20 on ebay for like 200-300 dollars and they are pretty much the best single ccd cameras although they aren't produced anymore. If cheap to you is like 400-600 dollars i would get one of them small panasonic 3ccd camera (i think its the gs series).

Yeah that helps him alot... there could be multiple sony video camera for 650, dont bother posting if you cant provide helpful information.

It looks decent, but i would reccomend steering away from JVC as i had problems with my camera (they put faulty parts in the camera and didn't recall it for 2 years). I say get somthing sony, canon or panasonic.

i like the JVC except yeh you should probably look out for some of those dodgy brands... Samsung might have some pretty good cams but i do recommend a Sony, one of the other MiniDV's and make sure they have a USB cable... like i didnt look for at the time when i got mine... dammit!

Eww dont make sure they have a usb cable, usb capturing is super gross. If you get a mini DV, it most likley has a firewire port on it, so get yourself a firewire and if your computer dosn't have a firewire port, buy a firewire pci card too.

canon zr90s are the yuck.
i hate mine,
im selling my pb gun and ps2 and lots of stuff, and getting a canon optura 50 i believe. its like 800.

I have a sony dcr trv-50. Its like 5 years old and its a 1 chip. They used to go for about $1700 retail, but I guess you can find them used for less then $400 now. I would recommend getting a century optic lens because they are the best. if you watch most of the videos that are from Whitewater (Matt Andrus' home town) you can see the quality of the camera
