look for 4130 chromoly in 1 1/8" I.D. for steer tube and 7/8" O.D. for handlebars

is this all i need to put in on onlinemetals.com or is there other information like ID OD and the WALL for each piece of metal i order

and after i get all the info i need make it a sticky or something so that no one else will need to make a thread

i want with gusset it would be stronger right?
but more welding is needed too

also do i put a hole through the main tube to put the handles through??

my friend says hes taking care of the metals now, but its been 6 weeks since he said he'd get them and he says another two weeks MINIMUM! So im going to look into other places to buy the metal from!

you know the vertical bar, the steer tube? You drill a hole or whatever through the top of it, and then put in your crossbar (handlebar). That would be like rad v.2s.

i know there different

thats y i asked which one casue i didnt know if i should use a bar for the handles and a tube for the steering post

no not small tube, just thinner wall; if you wanted something somewhat on the light side. then you would use gussets to keep them from bending

theres all kinds of gussets, the kind on the rad v2s arent as good cause those are the kind for sliding. make some plate triangles and put them in the joints

edit: you can use gussets on thicker tube, im just saying make sure you definitely use gussets if your gonna use thinner tube.
